Beckon schedules alarms through Apple’s AlarmKit so they fire through Silent mode, Focus, and a locked phone. If an alarm didn’t fire: make sure Beckon has notification/alarm permission (iOS Settings → Beckon), that your wake is actually armed on the home screen, that your phone isn’t powered off, and that iOS is up to date. If it keeps happening, email us with your iPhone model and iOS version.

When Beckon wakes you, complete the quick tap-the-light reaction check — tap the light the moment it appears. This proves you’re actually awake. It’s deliberately not a single button you can swat in your sleep. There’s always a “just let me up” escape if you need it.

Open Beckon’s settings and update your name. It’s spoken on-device using Apple’s text-to-speech and is never sent anywhere. With Beckon Pro you can also record a real voice (your own or a loved one’s) to wake you.

No — not for the core alarm. Location and calendar are only used by the optional morning briefing (weather + your next event). Both are off until you enable them, both are handled by Apple, and neither is ever sent to Codeful. You can revoke them anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.

Subscriptions are billed by Apple. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Auto-renew turns off if you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com — we can’t issue them directly.
